Week12

This week topic was understanding other culture.
New Zealand is one of well mixed countries although there are many people who have different background.
That's pretty common sense but, we should keep in mind it.

Korea used to controlled by Japan and we still have bad emotion for that.
In Maori's point of view, New Zealand also had similar history.
Now in New Zealand,however, two cultures are well mixed.
To better future, people should well harmonize and for this, we needed to understand other culture      

Week11

So far, my group is going well. We have made our poster early. However, because of some technical problem(maybe - not sure), my tutor couldn't get it. John and me sent 2~3 times again.
Hope it will be alright.

week 10

Well, this week, we presented about 'ethics'.
We got a situation which we had to choose one for our company. Solving the problem was not hard but the 'scenario' was quite complex. It took some time to understand.

Anyway, most of groups handle well with using the right 'ethics'.
And I feel more comfortable to stand in front of people.

week 9

We watched vedio which was very old , it talked about customer service.
The main point of this was everybody can be customer even in the same company.
Therfore communication skill is required.

We presented who is our customer and how we are going to deal with.

week 8

We learnt about sustainability. We discussed how our company goes well relative social, environmental, economic, and Governance.
Our group talked a lot and reserched the internet quickly so, we had done pretty early.
However, I feel sorry to my group that I could not envolve much.

I should jump into my team more deeply.

week 6

This week, our topic was 'Professional bodies'. We justified advantages and disadvantage after associate with bigger(major) organization.

It made me to consider if I REALLY established my own company, I have to consider these kind of things.
The conclusion is joining in orgarnization is good and bad.
The most important thing is qerlity of cmpany pruducts.

Week5

We found the oranization which is suitable to our image company and reserch advantage and disadvantages.

We chose 'WasteMINZ' (http://www.wasteminz.org.nz/) for our partner.

Today, I talked about 'Making use of service'.

Well, I prepared little more than last time, so I talked more logically.

Toutor said very good to me because, I did not read the screen this time.

Our group also prepared well, and getting enjoy this time.

It it such a nice practice to everybody

Week4

Today we made a our own company and applied "Health and safety in Employment Act 1992" to the company.

My group made a company, named 'CRC'.
This is a recycle company that gethering fiber glass(boats) and grind them for making new materials.

We reserched the information from the internet and explain to others.

Since last week we have been doing presentation.
I talked about my company logo and I was nervers again.
I just read the screen without any explaination. If I prepared more about that I could say something about  that.
However, fortuneately, all of my member talked very well, my tutor liked our speech.

This week, my group did presentation about 'Why good communication is mportant'.

It was pretty anoying that I had to talk in fron of people.

Actually, I like talking and it shouldn't be hard to have a speach in front of people if I spoke Korean.

During my turn, I found myself that my voice was trembling and I spoke too fast like a rap guy.

In addition, even I did not understand what I was talking about.

However,luckly, it was fine and all of my group members talked realy well, so my tutor said well done.

As a conclusion, it was fun even though pretty tough and challenging.

It was nice oppertunite to talk in English and I could cheack my English ability as well.

Plus, I would be more confidant if I have prepared harder.

APPT 5110 29/2/2012

It was pretty different class than my expectation. I thought my class would go one way (teach to students) but it was totally not. This course is pretty active and need cooperation with my group members. Also, it will be tough for preparing our presentations.

My class mates and I made a group for our first group work  which called ' Making a fiying object'.

We did not have much time and did not think deeply. That's why most of groups crushed a paper and thew it.

 However, among them, there were several things had sence and ideas.

My group made a paper plain and attached a stem of plant, so I believe that our flying object could fly quite long time.

From this task I thought we need quick ,clever and create decision. Furthermover, I hope these practice would be helpful  to my real life.
